Metal disc – self-adhesive counterpart 30x2 mm, zinc

A zinc-plated steel base 30 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick with double-sided adhesive tape. The larger area gives the magnet more room to seat and a steadier grip than the 20 mm size. This metal disc counterpart is used with magnets and pot magnets approximately 25–30 mm in diameter. It is not a magnet — the steel base only creates a place where the magnet holds.

1. What is the 30x2 mm self-adhesive counterpart used for?
   You stick it onto a non-magnetic surface — wood, glass, plastic, plasterboard — and create a steel base a magnet will attach to. Typical uses are doors, covers, panels and portable boards.

2. When should you choose 30 mm rather than 20 mm?
   Choose 30 mm for magnets around 25–30 mm in diameter and wherever you need more tolerance when the magnet lands. The smaller steel disc for magnets of 20 mm is enough for magnets up to 20 mm.

3. Does the package include a magnet?
   No. We supply the metal disc counterpart with adhesive tape only; the magnet is ordered separately according to the holding force required.

4. How do you stick the 30x2 mm steel base on correctly?
   Degrease the substrate, peel the liner off the tape, place the disc and press it firmly for about 20 seconds. The tape reaches full adhesion within hours — do not load the joint unnecessarily before then.

5. Is the zinc-plated surface corrosion resistant?
   The zinc layer protects the steel base against ordinary surface corrosion in a dry interior. We do not recommend this version for permanently damp operations or outdoor installations.

6. Can the disc be reused after it has been peeled off?
   The steel base itself remains usable, but the adhesive tape loses its grip once removed. When relocating it, allow for sticking on a new double-sided tape of the matching diameter.
