Zinc-plated metal disc 20x2 mm
Code: E901018Product detailed description
A zinc-plated steel base 20 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick — a metal disc counterpart in its basic form, without adhesive tape and without a screw hole. You choose the fixing yourself: construction adhesive, seating in a cut-out, or double-sided tape of your own choice. It works with magnets and pot magnets up to 20 mm across. It has no magnetic field.
- How does this plain zinc-plated version differ from the one with adhesive tape?
It is supplied as a bare steel base with no double-sided tape applied and no screw hole. You choose the fixing method to suit your application, which is why it costs less than the fitted versions.
- How do I fix a steel disc counterpart without tape?
Most often with construction adhesive, with double-sided tape of your own choice, or by seating it in a prepared cut-out. For a screwed joint, choose the version with a hole and a countersink for a countersunk screw.
- Which magnets suit the metal disc counterpart without tape?
Magnets and pot magnets up to 20 mm in diameter — as with the other sizes, the magnet should cover as much of the steel base as possible.
- Does the plain zinc-plated 20x2 mm version have a magnetic field?
No. It is a steel disc counterpart with no magnetic field of its own, which holds nothing on its own.
- What is the surface finish?
Zinc. It protects the steel base against ordinary surface corrosion in a dry environment; for permanently damp operations we recommend protecting the joint additionally.
- Is it suitable for production and assembly jigs?
Yes. Precisely because it has no adhesive tape, it is often glued or embedded directly into parts — for example into wooden, plastic and composite panels.
